Watervliet City School District
Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided the structural design for a $23 million renovation project for Watervliet City School District. The project included a 14,000-square-foot, two-story classroom addition on the south side of the existing Watervliet High School building (circa 1935).
A 28,000-square-foot gymnasium addition was added and features an elevated running track, a fitness center with mezzanine, basketball and volleyball courts, and long-spanning exposed steel bowstring trusses over the gym area. The project also included extensive renovation to the existing building including a Hall of Fame lobby area.
Renovations were also made to Watervliet Elementary School and included reconfiguring existing locker rooms into a music room and an addition with eight new classrooms.
