Capital District E-Week

We are excited and proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the Capital District's 40th Anniversary Celebration of National Engineers Week!

The Capital District's Celebration of E-Week will be held on February 13 and 14 at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road.

Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis is a proud Platinum Sponsor of the Model Bridge Competition (MBC). This competition is for high school students and requires each student to build a 400 mm long balsa wood arch or truss type bridge. Each bridge is measured for conformance with the MBC rules, weighed, then loaded to failure. The competition has been held annually since 1983, with over 100 high school students from around the region expected to participate each year.

National Engineers Week was created in 1951 and is held to create awareness of the contributions of engineers to society. The Capital District E-Week’s focus is to promote the Engineering Profession. The purpose of this event is to raise public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life, promote the importance of a technical education including a high level of math, science and technology literacy among parents, teachers and students, and motivate youth to pursue engineering and related careers to provide a diverse and vigorous engineering workforce.
