| RBA completed the structural and foundation design for a new four-story, 200,000-square-foot, steel-framed structure on a deep foundation system. The building includes modern research laboratories, offices, conference rooms, and an auditorium. The office wings are separated from the laboratory areas by a multi-story atrium. The design criteria includes limits on floor vibration in laboratory areas, and the governing code is the 2000 International Building Code which includes seismic design criteria. The total construction cost was $70 million. Burt Hill Kosar Rittelmann Associates was the Architect. | |
