Saratoga Springs City School District
Saratoga Springs, New York
RBA designed the structure for the original two-story, Maple Avenue Middle School in 1990.  As the district population grew, the need to expand the original building was apparent.  Plans for the expansion included three student houses to keep a smaller atmosphere within the larger school.  RBA was again retained to design the structure of the addition that is shown above.  The addition includes 36 classrooms with science labs and art rooms, a new library/media center, a gymnasium, and a 900-seat auditorium.   The project was part of a $68 million district-wide capital project.  The total budget for the middle school was approximately $17 million.  The Architect was Collins + Scoville Architects.
