| RBA performed the structural design of this two-story, 170,000-square-foot building which houses state-of-the-art laboratories for research occurring at the frontiers of contemporary science. The facility also houses a basement-level vivarium, offices, conference rooms, and an auditorium for the Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology departments of the university. The $39 million building is steel-framed with cast-in-place foundations. The design criteria included limits on floor vibration in laboratory areas. Hillier Group, Inc., was the Architect. | |
